The Utrecht University Library (Dutch abbreviation: UBU) wanted to replace its existing search engine. In addition to keeping existing functionality a number of new features were added.

UBU wanted to significantly improve the interface of the search engine, prompted by user research. The project involved both interaction design and visual design. Stroomt designed the operational concept of the new search system in a few short phases and designed several key screens.
